First Station : Form Filling
At this station, people that arrived for blood donation will be asked to sit here. They will be given a form to fill up their particular before donating their blood. Nobody wants to have blood that is contaminated! So they will have to fill up form to see if they're able to donate and also to let the donors knows some of the procedure to blood donation. We're also given a bottle of water, a pen and a sticker for donating blood. Souvenir uh? :D

One more time! :D
Second Station : Registration
After we're done with the form filling, next, we'll proceed to this station - Registration. This is where we're being registered to being blood donors "officially". It's a short procedure whereby one of the staffs will type in all the particulars that you've filled in the form, into the computer.

That's me, "officially" become blood donor :)
Third Station : Medical Screening After we're done with registration, we moved on to the third station - Medical Screening. It's where, a doctor will be there to check our blood pressure, ask us some questions and also to weight us. I heard that <50KG, you donate 350ml of blood, and >50KG, you donate 450ml of blood. Is that true? Anyway, a teacher told me that the doctor 很大牌 because he came at 10.30AM instead of being punctual at 10AM. Thus, there was alot of people waiting. I waited for more than 30 minutes just at this station! Ohmy! And I came one of the earliest lehs!

We are so proud to be one of the blood donors :)
Forth Station : HD Test
At this station, they will take a little blood from our finger tip to test for our iron level. Apparently, only people with iron level above 12, are able to donate. People lower than that aren't able to donate their blood. Or they will be asked to have their breakfast first and then come back to test for their iron level again. I'm lucky to have pass this station :D

Okay, after so many station, it's finally here! The fifth station - Blood Donation! I think I don't have to explain much because you all should know what is this. It's the station where you finally gets to donate your blood after all the medical screening and iron level checking. #excitedmax

I'M DONATING MY BLOOD! :D
Some proud shots of myself donating blood, for the FIRST TIME :D
I was proud of myself for plucking out all the courage to donate my blood ^^ Many people were afraid to do so. And to tell the truth, I was also rather afraid and nervous at first. But this is an experience that's worth everything! With my blood, do you actually know how many people I could save? I couldn't help thinking, and being proud of myself for donating my blood :D And for everyone's information, it wasn't painful at all! You could always head down to HSA for blood donation if you miss it this time, and wanna try/help other people, just like me :) But if you're someone that has a phobia against blood and needle, I can understand :) Anyway, everything was going smoothly, not until ...

I BLACKED OUT! :O
Halfway through, I started to feel giddy and having blur vision. The next minute when I know, I saw some people around me, including my boyfriend and my arm was in bandage. Ohmy! I have never foreseen this to happen at all! My boyfriend says that I haven't finished donating one full packet of blood yet, and it's a waste! Ohmy! I didn't know this will happened! I wonder if my less than a packet of blood, will be able to help people anot? :(

Sixth & Last Station : Refreshments
After every station, here's the station where everyone can grab themselves some drinks and snacks to replenish themselves after donating their blood. It's like rewarding ourselves after the good deeds that we've done. Although I donated only like, maybe half a packet, at least I did make an effort, alright? A round of applause for me, and others! :D
Snapshot of the Guardians of Station 6 xD
Here's a proper shot of the Guardians
Saw that lady in blue top? Well, she's actually my chinese teacher?! And know what the ironic thing is about? Well, I went ahead to talk to them, and Ms Chua, our DM who's the one wearing red top, chatted with me.
Then my chinese teacher was asking Ms Chua : "You know who is she?"
Then Ms Chua was like: "Yah! She's Huifen?! You couldn't recognise her?"
Then my chinese teacher goes like: "Oh my god! Really?!"
And I was standing there, with "WTF" all over my head!
But apparently, she wasn't the only one that couldn't recognise me. There's a teacher that asks me, whether if I'm an alumni of the school. I told her that I'm still studying in this school NOW! WTF!? But there's many that recognise me, but couldn't believe it was me! WTF?! Anyway, I shall get back to the topic.
Bottles of plain water that was provided to us.
Some of the snacks. Looks at all the Ligo Raisin and SoyJoy(?) Bars! :O

So glad that he's here with me :)
After both my boyfriend and I have finished donating our blood. We went off already. We been 2 hours just to donate our blood. It took too much of my time already! And I'm still going to meet my lovelies, actually at 11AM! Oh gosh! Can't imagine how late I am! So, I asked my boyfriend to fetch me there because it's faster :)
Want to know whether I've managed to meet my friends? And what "adventure" we are going to? Well, stay tuned for the next blog post! ^^ This sounded like a commercial :X
" It's in your blood to save lives "
So, don't hesitate and donate your blood!
I have done so, have you? :D
